What this is
A sitemap is a list of pages on a website. Adding one lets Geo Dash build a website-specific index for internal-link suggestions. You can add more than one sitemap to the same website.
Before you start
- Select the correct client and website.
- Copy the sitemap URL, often ending in sitemap.xml.
Step-by-step
- Step 1
Open the website settings
Go to Clients, open the website, then find Sitemaps. You can also use the Sitemaps page to monitor an existing crawl.
Open Sitemaps - Step 2
Paste the sitemap URL
Add the full address, including https://. When you add it, that sitemap's domain is approved for this website automatically.
- Step 3
Start or refresh the crawl
Choose Refresh to read the sitemap and index its pages. The crawl history shows progress and any error message.
- Step 4
Use the indexed pages
Once pages are indexed, Internal links becomes available when creating articles for this same website.
Common questions
Can I remove a sitemap?+
Yes. Removing one sitemap affects only that source. It does not delete the website or other sitemap sources.
What are approved domains?+
They are domains allowed to contribute pages to this website's index. Your added sitemap is approved automatically; unfamiliar domains can be reviewed in Advanced domain settings.
