What this is
Clients organise organisations; websites organise the content projects beneath them. A website owns its articles, images, keywords, sitemap data, and publishing connection.
Before you start
- Confirm which client or website you are changing.
- Check whether you need to archive something or remove it permanently.
Step-by-step
- Step 1
Open Clients
Choose Clients from the main navigation to see each organisation and its websites.
Open Clients - Step 2
Open the project you need
Choose a website to edit its brand overrides, sitemaps, publishing connection, and website-specific content settings.
- Step 3
Archive a client when work is paused
Archiving hides the client from normal active work without immediately deleting it. Restore it when the project resumes.
- Step 4
Use permanent deletion carefully
Deleting a website permanently removes its website-owned content and resources. Delete a client permanently only when you are certain the whole organisation and its projects are no longer needed.
Common questions
Can I delete one sitemap without deleting the website?+
Yes. Sitemap sources are independent resources, so you can remove one without affecting the other sources or the website itself.
What happens when I delete a website?+
The website and all of its owned data, including articles, images, keyword research, indexed pages, sitemap sources, and publishing connection, are removed permanently.
