What this is
A publishing connection is optional. It tells Geo Dash where to send approved articles. The WordPress site URL, username, and application password work together; a URL alone cannot publish anything.
Before you start
- Select the website that should own this connection.
- Have a WordPress username and application password with permission to create posts.
Step-by-step
- Step 1
Open the website's publishing settings
Go to Clients, open the website, and choose Publishing connection. Do not add WordPress credentials in global workspace settings.
- Step 2
Enter the WordPress site URL
Use the public base address of the WordPress site, for example https://example.com.
- Step 3
Enter credentials
Enter the WordPress username and its application password. Geo Dash encrypts the password and uses it only from the backend when testing or publishing.
- Step 4
Test and connect
Run the connection test. If it succeeds, choose the default draft or publish mode and any default categories.
Common questions
Do I need WordPress to generate articles?+
No. WordPress is only for delivery. You can generate, review, and export drafts without connecting it.
Can a client have more than one WordPress site?+
Yes, by creating separate websites under that client. Each website has its own optional publishing connection.
