What this is
A website is the boundary for articles, images, keywords, sitemap pages, and publishing. It is not a verified domain, so its only required field is a name.
Before you start
- Create or select a client.
- Decide how you want to describe this content project, for example UK website or Global website.
Step-by-step
- Step 1
Open the client
In Clients, find the organisation you want to work with.
- Step 2
Choose Add website
Enter a clear name, such as ABC Travel UK. A website can be created with only this name.
- Step 3
Add local details only when they differ
Set country, language, audience, tone, colours, CTA style, or writing preferences only if they differ from the client defaults.
- Step 4
Save
You can now add sitemap sources, connect a publishing destination, or create content. Each of those is optional.
Common questions
Can one client have several websites?+
Yes. Each website keeps its own content, index, publishing connection, and website-level overrides.
Can I generate content before setup is complete?+
Yes. You need only a website name to generate. Sitemaps and publishing add optional capabilities.
